2015 Employees of the 2nd Quarter

St. James Parish Hospital is proud to announce the 2015 Employees of the second quarter, Olivia Wiggins and Donna Spears. Both employees were nominated by fellow staff and chosen by the Executive Leadership Team for their dedication to the hospital.
Olivia is a 1998 graduate of Assumption High School and completed the Physical Therapy Technician program at Unitech Training Academy. She has worked at St. James Parish Hospital for five years and currently serves as a Physical Therapy Tech.
Shannon Juneau, Director of Rehab, nominated Olivia and stating, “Olivia is the most selfless person I know. She would give anyone the shirt off of her own back and expect nothing in return. She truly fosters teamwork and communication and is the ‘glue’ that hold us together.”
When asked for comment, Olivia stated “I enjoy being a part of the St. James Parish Hospital family. I thoroughly enjoy being in a positive and team-oriented environment.”
Donna attended Chef John Folse Culinary Institute and graduated in 2008 from Delgado Community College with an Associate’s Degree of Culinary Arts and Science. Donna has worked at St. James Parish Hospital for 2 ½ years and currently serves as the Chef.
Donna was nominated by Carolyn Bossier, RN, Education Coordinator and Kassie Roussel, Director of Marketing.
“Donna has prepared various types of food to satisfy her biggest critics—coworkers and patients. She has been known to stay late to make sure the food she is preparing for an event is prepared properly and when people taste the food it is amazing,” said Carolyn.
“Donna takes so much pride in her work that she is willing to work as long and as late as it takes to make sure it is perfect. She never takes the easy road when it comes to making our events and meetings extra special and regardless of the time it took her to put together a meal, you will never hear her complain about it,” said Kassie.
Donna commented, “I really enjoy my job here. I’m doing what I love to do. It really isn’t work to me and I’ve met some really nice people here. I love how close knit everyone is. It is more like a large family than a bunch of employees.”
St. James Parish Hospital congratulates both Olivia and Donna for their dedication to the hospital’s mission of providing excellent, quality and compassionate healthcare.
