2017 Employees of the 1st Quarter
« ReturnSt. James Parish Hospital is proud to announce the 2017 Employees of the 1st Quarter, Carolyn Bossier, RN, and Leanna Humphries. Both employees were nominated by fellow staff and chosen by the Executive Leadership Team for their dedication to the hospital.
Carolyn has worked at St. James Parish Hospital in various roles for the past 37 years. She has an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and currently serves as the Education Coordinator.
Carolyn was nominated by Shannon Jackson, ER Clerk. Shannon stated, “Carolyn is a Registered Nurse here at St. James Parish Hospital. She is a dedicated employee who has worked with the Senior Citizen Program, infection control and as our Education Coordinator. She has done so many other wonderful things it would take me a while to list them all. To me, that speaks volumes about the type of person she is and should give all a sense of pride.”
When asked for comment Carolyn stated, “I have been an employee of St. James Parish Hospital for 37 years—over half of my life. From the day I walked into the facility as an employee, I knew that this was the place for me. It soon became my home away from home and my extended family. Over the years, I have witnessed a lot of change and growth, bringing many people into my life and creating many new friendships with co-workers, patients and people from the community. I thank God daily for opening this door for me. I love my job and I am committed to making a positive experience for all of the people I come in contact with. St. James parish Hospital is truly large enough to serve and small enough to care.”
Leanna has served St. James Parish Hospital as an ER Tech for the past 9 months. She is a 2008 graduate of Riverside Academy. In 2016 she successfully completed medical assistant courses at Medical Training College in Baton Rouge.
Leanna was nominated by the ER staff who stated, “Leanna is truly amazing and one of a kind. I don’t think any of us could ever thank her enough. She is always going above and beyond to take care of her patients and the staff. Her positive attitude and kindness is greatly appreciated.”
Leanna commented, “Believe in yourself. Whatever you choose to do in life, be the best at it and never give up!”
