Foot health can be an indicator of other health issues, but it's easy to forget your feet until there is a problem.
Below are a few tips important for everyone, but essential for patients with diabetes, circulation issues or those who suffer from chronic wounds.
-Grab a mirror and perform daily foot checks
-Keep feet moisturized (to avoid cracking)
-Keep feet clean
-Avoid walking barefoot
-Wear properly fitted shoes that don't squeeze or rub
-Wear socks with shoes
-Keep toenails trimmed
-Avoid over-the-counter remedies for corns which contain active ingredients that can irritate the skin and lead to infection
