|  | It is important that you give your nurse or doctor a complete list of medications you are taking. Your doctor will prescribe the appropriate medications for you during your stay. Don’t self administer any medications while you are in the hospital unless instructed to do so by your nurse.
It is in your best interest to know about your medications, learn how and when to take them, and what the effects and side effects are.
PHARMACY
The Pharmacy Department is capable of providing a wide range of clinical services for its patients who require medication management. The Pharmacy is opened 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday and 8:00 am - 12:00 am Saturday and Sunday. The Pharmacist is on-call after hours for 24 hour availability. The Pharmacist on staff provides medications through the Omnicell Automated Retrieval System for all areas of the hospital which include medical/surgical patients, pediatric patients, geriatric patients, emergency room patients and outpatients. A full-time Pharmacy technician assists the Pharmacist in operations.
The Pharmacy provides for an effective and safe medication management in cooperation with other departments and staff working closely together. Medications are essential to patient care and are provided for all age groups of patients. |  |
