St. James Parish Hospital treats pediatric, adult and elderly patients and because of our small size, we are able to provide personalized care to you and your family. St. James Parish Hospital offers skilled rehab/swing bed services allowing an extended stay to achieve goals for discharge.
Our Medical-Surgical unit delivering nursing care to pediatrics, adults and geriatric patients. Several different types of admission can occur on this unit, Inpatient admit, Skilled Rehab / Swing Bed, Observation and Hospice. The unit operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is staffed by Patient Care Supervisors, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistants, Nurse Techs, and Unit Secretaries. In addition, we have a hospitalist who specializes in the care of patients, works with their physicians and helps patients return home as healthy and quickly as possible.
