St. James Parish Hospital is proud to announce its Employees of the 4th Quarter, Nili Rougee, RN, and Anithra Prembrook. Both employees were nominated by fellow staff and chosen by the Executive Leadership Team for their dedication to the hospital.

Nili has worked at St. James Parish Hospital full-time for seven and a half years as a Registered Nurse. She currently serves as an Employee Health Nurse and Care Coordinator for Poche Medical Clinic.  She was a 1992 graduate of Thibodaux High School and completed her nursing prerequisites at Nicholls State University. She obtained an ASN degree from Charity School of Nursing in 2008.

Nili was nominated by Rachel Becnel, RN, on behalf of a patient family. The nomination discussed how Nili selflessly stepped in to help a patient who had an accident while waiting to see a physician.

“Nili came to the patient and family’s rescue. She reassured them that everything was going to be alright and that she was going to take care of the situation. She cleaned up and even went get needed supplies for the patient. Nili handled the situation with dignity and compassion. She demonstrated a positive attitude and showed how to take ownership of a situation,” stated the nomination.

When asked for comment, Nili said, “Being a Care Coordinator allows me to spend quality time with patients and families while stressing the importance of preventative health and screenings available to them. I enjoy getting to know patients and listening to their stories.”

“Treating people with compassion and dignity is something that I take to heart. The support I receive from Dr. Randall and Dr. Jerry, my coworkers and my managers is priceless. In addition, stepping in as Employee Health Nurse allows me to be directly involved with employees which has given me extreme job satisfaction. I am thankful that St. James Parish Hospital has given me these opportunities to grow as a nurse.”

Anithra has worked at St. James Parish Hospital for almost three years. She is currently an Environmental Services Technician. Anithra graduated from East St. John High School in 2002.
Anithra was nominated by Tanya Morris, RN, and Nurse Supervisor.

Tanya stated, “I want to acknowledge this employee for her dedication to the facility during periods of need. She proved to be a team player who willingly filled in for others. She is upbeat and positive.”

Tanya said, “Anithra did an incredible job assisting several shifts and provided superb care for our patients. She saw a need and did not hesitate to step in. She answered call bells, delivered items to patients and participated in providing safe care. I can’t say enough about her effort in caring for our patients or her conscientiousness in jumping in and assisting.”

Anithra commented, “I love my job! I believe in getting my work done in a timely manner. I have been working in this field for a long time and thank St. James Parish Hospital for this wonderful recognition.”

St. James Parish Hospital congratulates both employees for their dedication to the hospital’s mission of providing excellent, quality and compassionate healthcare.
