St. James Parish Hospital is proud to recognize Christy Howard, Clinic Scheduler, as the Employee of the 1st Quarter for 2025. Christy was nominated by fellow hospital staff an
d selected by the Executive Leadership Team for her unwavering dedication to patients, coworkers, and the hospital’s mission.
Nominated by Ashley Simon, Christy has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare field, including the past seven years at St. James Parish Hospital. Her career at the hospital began as a PRN ER Specialist, followed by a role as a Patient Access Specialist in the outpatient department. She later transitioned to the Medical Plaza, where she currently serves as a Clinic Scheduler within the Physician clinics.
“She consistently demonstrates a warm and welcoming attitude toward everyone she encounters,” Ashley says. “Her strong work ethic and genuine commitment to patient satisfaction are truly commendable. These qualities are just a few of the many reasons I believe she is deserving of this recognition.”
When asked about receiving the award, Christy shared: “I feel so honored and incredibly grateful for the recognition. [Receiving] the award felt like a validation that my hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed and it also boosted my confidence. The award made me feel like a valued member of the team and a respected employee.”
