Community Flu Vaccines

Beginning in September, St. James Parish Hospital will be offering flu shots through St. James Urgent Care in Lutcher.

Walk-in Flu Vaccines will be offered 7 days a week through St. James Urgent Care in Lutcher from 8am to 8pm Monday-Friday and on weekends from 9am to 5pm.

Patients who are coming in for previously scheduled appointments with their primary care physician, are encouraged to ask about the flu vaccine during their visit.

St. James Parish Hospital’s vaccines will be offered to adults and children age 3 and up. Patients under 3, should see a pediatrician. The CDC recommends that everyone six months and older receive a flu vaccine each season, especially those that are at high risk of serious complications from influenza. Sick patients or those with COVID-like symptoms must wait to get vaccinated.

Patients should bring in an ID and their insurance card. There are no out-of-pocket costs with most insurances. A cash-pay option will also be offered for patients without insurance.

The walk-in option is for flu vaccines only. Contact your doctor’s office about pneumonia vaccines.

Flu Vaccine Options:

1. Urgent Care (Walk-In)
Walk-in Monday-Friday 8am to 8pm, Saturday-Sunday 9am-5pm. St. James Urgent Care is located in Lutcher in the Medical Plaza next to the hospital. Enter through the newest entrance.

2. Primary Care (During Scheduled Appointments)
If you have an appointment with your primary care physician, ask about getting the flu vaccine.
