St. James Parish Hospital is proud to announce Madeline Dorsey, PharmD, as the 2026 Employee of the First Quarter. Madeline, a pharmacist at St. James Parish Hospital, was nominated by Karley Babin, Marcy Roussel, Tabatha Frase, and Haleigh Milazzo before being selected by the hospital’s Executive Team.
Madeline was recognized for her exceptional teamwork, clinical expertise, and unwavering dedication to both patients and coworkers. During several especially demanding shifts in the Acute Care unit involving numerous admissions, discharges, and patient care needs, Madeline stepped in without hesitation to answer call lights, assist patients, help with meal service, answer phones, and support nursing staff wherever needed — all while continuing to manage her clinical pharmacy responsibilities with professionalism, compassion, and a positive attitude. Her initiative and adaptability helped maintain smooth unit operations while supporting exceptional patient care.
Madeline earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and has been with St. James Parish Hospital for five years. Most recently, she earned her Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy and has continued expanding her clinical responsibilities within the hospital.
