St. James Parish Hospital is partnering with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and Louisiana Emergency Response Network (LERN) to host an Emergency Response Class for nonclinical community members.

First on the Scene (FOTS) was developed by NAEMT and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC). Through lesson presentations and hands-on skill stations, participants will learn how to access help in the event of a life-threatening emergency and what to do until EMS arrives.

The class is FREE and will be held in the Medical Plaza Community Education Room on Friday, April 22nd from 8am to 12pm. Space is limited and RSVP is required.
