LUTCHER, LA – St. James Parish Hospital is pleased to welcome Reverend Eric J. Keller to its Board of Commissioners. With a diverse background that includes service as a United States Army vetera
n, ordained minister and missionary, and a 32-year career with Marathon Petroleum Company, Rev. Keller brings valuable leadership and community perspective to the Board.
A native of Reserve, Louisiana, Rev. Keller graduated from Leon Godchaux High School in 1971 before enlisting in the United States Army the following year. He honorably served his country until 1974, achieving the rank of Specialist (E-4).
Following his military service, Rev. Keller began a distinguished career with Marathon Petroleum Company in Garyville, Louisiana. During his 32 years with the company, he served as a Maintenance Project Coordinator and was recognized for his reliability, leadership, and collaborative work ethic before retirement.
In 1986, Rev. Keller answered a call to ministry and enrolled at Christian Bible College in Kenner, Louisiana, where he earned a Certificate in Theology in 1990. He later continued his theological studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, receiving an additional certificate in 2013. Rev. Keller currently serves as an ordained minister at King Solomon Baptist Church in Lutcher, Louisiana, where he is actively involved in multiple ministry roles. He has also participated in several missionary efforts throughout Central America. Rev. Keller and his wife, the former Lennelle Clark, reside in Hester, Louisiana, and remain deeply committed to faith, service, and community outreach.
