Hospital among only 222 sites nationwide to earn American Heart Association Commitment to Quality Award
St. James Parish Hospital has received the American Heart Association’s Commitment to Quality Award, a national recognition honoring hospitals that achieve high performance across three or more clinical areas through the Association’s Get With The Guidelines® quality improvement programs.
St. James Parish Hospital earned three Get With The Guidelines® Achievement Awards for excellence in Stroke, Heart Failure and Coronary Artery Disease care, qualifying the hospital for the Commitment to Quality Award. Only 222 sites nationwide met the criteria for this recognition. Now in its second year, the award recognizes an elite group of hospitals demonstrating a comprehensive, systemwide commitment to quality improvement across multiple clinical specialties.

Get With The Guidelines is the American Heart Association’s hospital-based quality improvement initiative designed to help ensure people receive care aligned with the most current, science-based guidelines. Participating hospitals benefit from clinical tools, performance feedback, and peer benchmarking to drive ongoing improvement and better patient outcomes.
