St. James Parish Hospital proudly announces Acute Night Nurse Rachelle Madere, MA, as Employee of the 2nd Quarter for 2025.
Rachelle was nominated by fellow coworker Fabian Steib, LPN, for her exceptional attentiveness, compassion, and dedication to her patients. Her quick action in recognizing the rapidly declining condition of a patient and ensuring an urgent transfer to higher-level care exemplifies her commitment to patient safety and quality care.
“When my name was announced as Employee of the Quarter, I felt both humbled and honored to be recognized for this award,” Rachelle said. “I feel by working with a great medical team and all of the team being involved in our patients care, it’s truly an amazing experience each time to witness [our patients’] road to recovery.”
Rachelle’s medical journey began as a CNA before becoming a Medical Assistant. Inspired by her passion for healthcare, she pursued nursing at Louisiana Technical College, graduating in 2006. In 2020, she joined St. James Parish Hospital’s Acute Unit night shift, where she continues to serve as a dedicated and compassionate nurse.
