St. James Parish Hospital is proud to announce Annabelle Vicknair, RN, as Employee of the Third Quarter for 2025. Nominated by Acute Nurse Manager Karley Babin, RN, Annabelle has been an integral part of the hospital’s nursing department for nearly twenty years.
Karley shares, “When I first walked into St. James Parish Hospital as a brand-new nurse, she was the person who immediately made me feel welcomed and part of the team. Annabelle has guided me through the formative moments that shaped the foundation of my nursing career. She has also brought humor and encouragement on the toughest days, while consistently bringing positivity, support, and kindness to those around her.”
Annabelle exemplifies the hospital’s core values. She delivers compassionate care, warmly welcomes and includes every new team member who joins, demonstrates integrity in every decision, upholds high standards of quality in her bedside practice, adapts with agility to every challenge, and shows strong stewardship by always doing what is best for the hospital.
Annabelle was both surprised and expressed a touch of nervousness upon learning she had been named Employee of the Quarter. She shared: “I would like to express to ALL the people I have worked with over the years that we have learned from each other, cried with each other, and become very important people in each other’s lives. People who work in health care have a special bond—a bond that can never be broken. I am thankful for this place, as it is my second family.”
