Our pelvic health occupational therapist, Tamara Blanchard, provides specialized, compassionate care for individuals experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction. The goal is to help you restore comfort, function, and confidence—whether you’re recovering from childbirth, managing chronic pelvic pain, or navigating age-related changes. We understand pelvic health is deeply connected to physical, emotional, and social well-being. Our therapist takes a trauma-informed, respectful, and collaborative approach to ensure your comfort and trust throughout your healing journey.
What is Pelvic Floor Therapy?
Pelvic floor therapy is a specialized area of therapy focused on the muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that support your pelvic organs (bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs). These muscles can become weak, tight, or imbalanced due to a variety of causes, leading to symptoms that affect your daily life. Treatment options can include manual therapy, muscle strengthening and lengthening, postural and breathing techniques, biofeedback, and education.
Common Conditions Treated by Pelvic Floor Therapy:
We offer evidence-based treatment for a wide range of pelvic health conditions, including, but not limited to:
