Walk-In Flu Shot Fair
« ReturnSt. James Parish Hospital is hosting its annual Flu Shot Fair in October. Patients-ages three and up-will be able to choose from several day or evening options and conveniently bypass the scheduling process to get their vaccinations.
St. James Parish Hospital’s Flu Shot Fair will be open from 8:30am to 4:30pm every Wednesday and Friday from October 5th through October 28th. Flu vaccines will be offered in the medical plaza located next to St. James Parish Hospital.
The hospital is also offering expanded evening options throughout October. Patients who cannot attend during the day, can choose to get their vaccinations during normal Urgent Care Hours. St. James Urgent Care is open from 5pm to 10pm Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 9am to 7pm.
Patients are reminded to bring their insurance cards. Uninsured patients can receive the vaccination for $30. Flu Fair attendees will not be charged for an office visit.
The CDC recommends that everyone six months and older receive a flu vaccine each season especially those that are at high risk of serious complications from influenza.
